With the game developing so much year after year, players are now becoming bigger, stronger and faster, which is why it is very important to have proper training in the off-season to make sure you stay on top of your game.  It is important that you do not just focus on weight training, but use a variety of different training strategies such as plyometrics to gain better performance.  There are also many useful training aids that can enhance your game over the  off-season.  Quick feet and agility ladders, stick handling balls, hurdles are all things that can be used to increase speed and power on the ice.

Changing up your training is very important so that your body is challenged daily and does not adjust to simple training and familiar exercises.  In this section, we will discuss different ways to train, and the exercises being used by professional players and coaches, in order to enhance player performance and production.
